Human Rights
Do you know all your human rights?
Human rights is the "the basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled, often held to include the right to life and liberty, freedom of thought and expression, and equality before the law."

United National Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

We are entitled to certain rights, but not everyone knows their rights, by just being a human being it means that we have rights. Human rights are there to protect people, who might not be able to protect themselves, it is for protection against people who might want to harm or hurt you. They are also there to help all of us to get along and to live in peace.

Youth for Human Rights
Have you seen the adverts?

I have and I think they are very impressive, each one showing each article of the human right declaration. They make people aware of rights they might not have known they had. It's made me more aware of my rights. The videos are made by Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) which is an independent non-profit corporation, with the purpose to educate people in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights so they become valuable advocates for tolerance and peace. To find out more about the campaign and about your human rights visit www.youthforhumanrights.org.

International Day of Biodiversity Radio Show
EVS Praxis volunteers (Stephanie Williams, Steven Price and Jonas Aberg) took part in a radio show talking all about biodiversity and it's theme for this year which is biodiversity and climate change. The show was hosted by Jonas and we believe that this was our best attempt so far at a radio show. I think we are all becoming a little more confident talking on the air, which made the show a lot more enjoyable and Jonas did a great job at hosting the show!
