Emilie in mediart!
About the project..... My name is Emilie Eriksson and I am 19 years old...
I have been in Greece, Serres from the 3 of November and I will stay until the 3 of may.
In the organisation Praxis I am taking part in the project, Mediart. In Mediart me and the other volunteers spread information about subjects like Aids, human rights m.m. To spread this information we make video clips, radio shows, radio spots, posters and exhibitions, is depends on the subject. From the day I got here until now I have taken part in subjects like Worlds Aids Day, The National Human rights Day, The National Migrants Day. When we get a subject we start with a meeting discussing what we can do to spread the information. Then we split the tasks and everyone get something to do. Then we look up information, write scripts(if we are making a video clip or a radio spot) and prepare for the Radio show and the exhibition.We are also participating a radio broadcasting every morning with our boss/mentor Anna Alevra. In the broadcast 2 volunteers come every morning to handle the music during the show.

From these experiences that I have had so far I have learned how to broadcast a radio show, how to manage different programs on the computer, such as Cubase and Winamp. I am learning how to work with websites and how to use a fax. I am learning how to communicate with people with a different culture. And I am trying to learn how to work in a group...I am learning about a way of life that is so different from my own. I have learned much about my own culture as well and my way of life. There is so much about Sweden that I took for granted and what I taught was obvious. There is probably so many things that I am learning that I do not even know that I am learning.

So thank you all that is involved of me being here. Thank you for this opportunity.
